Question:√12x + √27x + √48x
please please please if someone could help me that would be great =]

To add radicals, you just have to make whatever is under the radical the same. You also have to know how to simplify radicals. Radical 12 simplifies to radical 4 and radical 3. (I can't figure out how to get the radical symbol in so might just want to right it down as I explain it.) Because 4*3 is 12. But 4 is a perfect square so radical 4 simplifies to just 2. So you now have 2 radical 3. 27 works the same way. Radical 9 times radical 3. But 9 is a perfect square and simplifies to 3 radical 3. 48 simplifies to radical 16 times radical 3 which is 4 radical 3. Now all the terms have the same number under the radical (3) that you can just add the 2, 3, and the 4 as if the radical 3 were a variable. up as if the radical were like a variable. So this equals to 9 radical 3x. Sorry for the wordiness. Hope it helps and good luck on your final.
