How can my friend and i be more popular?

my friend and i are going to me sophmores in high school. and we of late want o become more "popular" and what could we do. because currently were up there but not all the method. and for guys: would you still like i girl if she was really pretty but hung out with the ugliest race youve ever seen?

at that age it's gonna be tough to BECOME popular. most relations who are popular in high school be popular in middle school years. but take it from me, i am a popular girl, you will almost never be the most popular if you aren't already. your best bet would be to purely try to be friends with the more popular people. you most likely won't ever be the mostt popular, but have the most popular people as your friends would help get you notice a bit more.
as for the guy part- well i'm not a guy but i have some input. i don't want to seem vain, but i am really pretty and so are my best friends from college. i also have another friend who is my absolute best best friend but she lives in another city and let just say she is not the most attractive girl. whenever i go to the precinct with my best friends we get hit on by a ton of guys, but when i go next to my best best friend, i can see guys looking at me, but they never say anything. that speaks for itself. so from my experience, it might deter a guy if you hung out with "ugly" people.
