I am currently taking my undergraduate courses at UMUC. The only serious problem I have had so far is that their customer service people are not very helpful. I am a transfer student and no one can tell me for sure what courses I should be taking next. My transfer credit evaluation is taking forever to complete.

Other than that, I think the school is OK. It is a state funded not-for-profit university. Its reputation is pretty good.

Also, I would suggest visiting sites such as degreeinfo.com to learn more about other online schools. UMUC may or may not be the best school for you.
I live in Maryland and graduated with two bachelor of science degrees (journalism and agronomy) from the University of Maryland, College Park. I am currently studying for the Masters in Biotechnology Management at UMUC. I am just two courses into the program. But so far the classes --Molecular Biology and Ethical Issues in Biotechnology --have been fairly rigorous. Lots and lots of reading. Interesting online discussions. Group and individual projects. More reading!
The program that you are in--from what I have heard--is a pretty good one. The combination of Project Management plus the MBA will be good for you no matter where you go to obtain your degree. My impression also is that UMUC is highly respected among the online educational programs. Just so you know, they do have a physical campus adjacent to UMCP, so they do offer "real" classes in classrooms with live people as well :). They've been doing this distance education thing for close to 50 years and are well known in Europe and Asia too. Overall, I think you will find that you will get a good education for the money. It may vary from class to class with respect to your instructor. One place you can go from some additional perspective can be found on MySpace. Check out their groups section and search for UMUC. Yahoo might have something similar--I have not checked. I think the undergrad experience with UMUC may not be as consistent as the grad school experience from what I have read--but you don't need to worry about that. Good luck!!
