Why arts is very valueable?

Question:The price for an art is very expensive.

Answers:
It's a 'Supply and Demand' situation...
The better the art work the more the item will cost as more people would be interested in owning it. That's why collector items fetch such a high price. Many factors go into determining the 'value' of an item...but it comes right down to the bottom line...it's 'How much is a person willing to pay', and 'How much does the artist expect for their work.'

Reason 1: because artists need to make a living out of it.

Reason 2: because certain people like to buy overpriced things, they seem to think that the more expensive it is, the better. Auction houses and galleries supply this snob demand.
