I don't know what to do...please help me?
Question:Today I decided that I don't know what I want to major in. I am a junior and at first I thought I wanted to do art but now I don't. What other options do I have. I really hate school and i don't know how much longer I actually want to be there. At first I was going to be an art therapist but in order to practice you must have a master's and I can't make it because school is soooo horrible to me. Someone please tell me what options I have. Thanks.

i know exactly how you feel. im 21 and sometimes i get scared that im waisting time and my dad gets mad at me cause he says that he doesnt have the time (he's getting old) to help me pay for school forever but i just can't pick a major. i dont know what the hell i want to do. so i dont have any good advice just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. :-) sorry
Just make a list of the things you like to do. Are there ANY courses that you enjoyed and did well in? List those also. Then, see if there are any emerging patterns. That will help you decide what to major in. Alternatively, you could just get a liberal arts degree.

When you begin college everyone has to take "core" classes. These are required for any degree that you are looking at.
You can always start off with your basic courses and decide while you are working on these courses.
The "core" is usually about 51 hours or 17 classes. That is about a yr and a half before you have to worry about courses for your major.

Quit school, get a job, talk to lots of people about what they do for a living and maybe get some career counseling/aptitude testing (some tests are online, but a F2F session might be best).
