What's your favorite quote? Mine is?

My favourite quote is :

"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure in the order of the the universe." Albert Einstein

What's your's?

Answers:    Desiderata is my favorite:

Go placidly amid the noise and the hurry,
and remember what peace there may be within silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on polite terms near all those.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others,
even to the dull and innocent;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive people;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for other there will be
greater and substandard persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievement as well as your plans.
Keep interested within your own career
however humble;
it is a concrete possession in the
shifting fortunes of time.

Exercise caution contained by your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you
to what honesty there is;
oodles persons strive for elevated ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical nearly love,
for in the facade of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take charitably the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit
to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself next to dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be easy-going with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no smaller amount than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you,
beyond a shadow of a doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore, be at peace with God,
doesn`t matter what you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
within the noisy confusion of vivacity,
keep peace surrounded by your soul.
With all its nouns,
drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be cheery.

Remember that not getting everything you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck. Dali Lama " designers get round" tim gunn
..."you got to know when to hold'um, know when to fold'um, know when to walk-away and know when to run".Kenny Rogers, The Gambler (but apt "life" philosophy) some ppl say the chalice is half full... sum utter the glass is partly empty... i voice "are u gonna drink that"
Right now...I'd probably agree near the quote:

"Everything is okay in the winding up, if it's not okay than it's not the end"

Other quote that I find amusing is:

"Sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll... take out the drugs and you've get more time for the other two."

"The things that come to those who wait may be the things not here by those that got in that first."

Both are from Steven Tyler frontman of Aerosmith
True love is neither physical, nor romantic.

True love is an acceptance of adjectives that is, have been, will be, and will not be.

The happiest relations don't necessarily have the best of everything; they only just make the best of everything they hold.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to spring in the rainfall.
The Sun, with adjectives the planets revolving around it, and depending on it, can still ripen a bunch of grapes as though it had zilch else in the Universe to do.
Galileo Galilei "Freedom is not worth have it if it does not include the freedom to err."
Mahatma Gandhi

So here is a somewhat softer approach to stupidity. Anyway, your quote is great and Einstein is one of my two heroes, and I can not recall who the other was.

Although human being an atheist I like this one too: "Jesus said love one another. He didn't influence love the whole world."
This one is, probably unexpectedly, from Mother Teresa.

I love these quotes because they encourage mildness, although although I close to the occasional sting too.
