Is a grade C at A-level considered average?

Most employers and uni's(tho some uni's go on credit points) ask for grade C or above, so I would assume it is!
Well i got 3 A-levels at grade C and was very pleased with myself. A grade C is usually the base line of entry for higher level courses at Uni and so on. At the end of the day A-levels are pretty tough anyway, and it is a pass, there are\far more lower grades abd it is inlucded in the A-C bracket that the schools like to brag about!!

Normally A to C are classed as a pass.
Other grades D and lower are given rather than saying 'you have failed'. We live in a nanny state nowadays and it's not nice to call someone a failure as it might hurt their feelings!!
A "C" is the average at A-level, also many universities take on students which gain this level of qualification.
