Question:I'[m reading Barron's Booknotes and Sparknotes too. I am planning to take courses but I ]might not.
What do you recommend?
Answers:
I personally did not take any courses and got a 2220 in my first sitting. I took a few practice tests from the Collegeboard's Official Guide to the SAT. Those are the kind of questions you would find on the real thing, so I recommend you take a look at that. I've personally never used Barron's for SAT Reasoning, but everyone says Barron's is harder than the actual thing, so if you do well on Barron's practice tests, you would done just fine on the real thing. Don't get tutored, because generally, they're a waste of time and money, especially for those already driven enough to prepare on their own. All those I know who took courses were not motivated and were forced by their parents; their scores still were only in the 1800's in the best case scenario.
