How can i elevate money for this?

Ok so I am going on a foreign exchange to Japan. It is going to be around $15,000. I have some of the money but I am wondering how I can raise a lot of money hastily?? fundraisers...anything?

Bake sales, make hand made jewellry or something and get rid of it, get a group of your friends together, and let strangers throw wet sponges at them, etc.
anything you do. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A POSTER WITH THE REASON FOR THE MONEY ON IT. and also, that you have a bowl or a jar with DONATIONS labelled on it.

before you do the fundraisers, advertise it around the city and landmarks next to posters, showing the location, and things included in it. MAKE IT COLOURFUL. also, include a map so dummies can find it :)
