Remember that research means re-search, to search and search again until your questions are answered. Research is NOT spewing back all the information you can find on a topic. Once you have a topic you are interested in and DO NOT know much about, devise 5 or so questions you would like to answer by searching and searching and searching until you in fact do have the answers. As you search, write down the answer only. Never copy a sentence or a paragraph. Just write down phrases that are meaningful to you as an answer to your question. This way you will avoid plagiarism. Next, write a rough draft of your answers. Revise and edit as needed. Write your good copy based on guidelines provided by your teacher. Pay attention to providing a complete and true bibliography. Good luck!
