How do you pronounce coupon? Q-pon? or coo-pon? What is the right way? and how do you personaly say it?

Answers:
Either can be considered acceptable in most English-speaking areas, but the "coo-pon" pronunciation is better (more like its French origin).
I pronounce it coo-pon. Girlfriend says Q-pon. No idea which is right
I say it q-pon, as for correct, this sounds like a matter a dialect, which is neither correct nor incorrect, it just is.
It just depends on how you learned to say it, both are correct.
Coupon, related to "cope" and "coup", is of French origin. It has developed an American pronunciation variant with an unhistorical y-sound not justified by the spelling. This pronunciation is used by educated speakers and is well-established as perfectly standard, although it is sometimes criticized. Its development may have been encouraged by analogy with words like curious, cupid, and cute, where c is followed by a “long u” and the /y/[y] is mandatory.
Coo-pun!
I say Q pon.but I guess it just depends on what you grew up hearing and also your part of the country.
The proper pronounciation is 'kyoopon'' according to www.dictinary.com.

Common pronounciation is "q pon"

It has a French origin.
I say Q-pon, though I think coo-pon sounds better.
I say coo-pon.
coo-pon is correct
According to The American Heritage® Dictionary, "cou·pon (koopŏn′, kyoo-')" is the preferred pronunciation. And happily, that is how I pronounce it.

i say coo-pon. but my family says things weird.

example: garbage = gar-bich

and my personal favorite, my mother's pronunciation of perogie, which she says as pear-ee-oh-gee. that's right, she added an extra syllable.

PS - i don't say these things like this anymore :)
Coupon pronounce co-pon the u is silent. however i pronounce it koo-pan.
If you go by the spelling, it's coo-pon. You don't say q-d etat for coup d etat or q-de grace for coup de grace.
coo-pon is how i say it.
Both coo-pon and que-pon are correct. I prefer coo-pon because it sounds more clipped.
