"getting sleepy" and "got sleepy"?

Question:when you say " i am getting sleepy",does it mean you ARE sleepy? or almost sleepy?

and when you say "i got sleepy",does it mean you ARE sleepy now?

Answers:
Neither of those is proper English, but to say that you are becoming sleepy means you are on the verge of being sleepy. To say that you became sleepy means that you were sleepy and possibly still are, depending on the context.

sounds like your sleepy now...lol (smiling)
I'm getting sleepy means i just noticed i am sleepy.
I got sleepy means I was sleepy before I mentioned it, usually used when talking about a different day or after you wake up from being sleepy
