"Botchagalupe." Where does this word come from in italian and what's its exact definition?

Question:It's a word a friend of mine used, he said it meant "not much of anything," and he'd use it instead of the name "satan" or "the devil." Like an indirect demeaning reference to diminish his power.

Thanks in advance.
