As the baby boomers start to retire the employment outlook will change. It will no longer be acceptable to just have a high school diploma. You will have to have an education and experience to fill the rolls that the baby boomers have. That will ensure a competitive edge when applying for jobs. High school today does not prepare you for a real job that you will be able to support your family. High Schools of America really just prepare you to work in a minimum wage job. That may be fine for some. Those that want to make enough money to be comfortable will have to have an education in the industry that they want to work in. They may also have to do some internships to be better prepared.
